Floor designs

Designs are very important in fancy builds.
Even in a modern build designs can be nice as long as they fit the coloring.
Designs should have many different colors.
Floors that are made of different block highs are not fun to walk on! The floor should be level or else when you walk on it you will constantly bob up and down.

Sometimes, you should have something that is more simple. Maybe only made out of two or three blocks. Other times, you want something large and made out of a lot of blocks.

Simple floors:

As you can see, even with a few blocks the pattern are very pleasing to the eye. They are better for smaller builds. They go well in houses or maybe in a down square.

Complex:

They go well  in more extravagant build, like the main room of a castle or a park. The first floor would go well in a outside spawn.

Wall Layers

Most people keep their walls flat. I'm here to tell you to not do that! Flat walls look very plain despite the pattern.  You want your walls to have many layers to at deception. You want your wall to normally be 3-5 layers. Two layers are okay, but not great. Make sure your pattern is made up of different colors, but they have to go well together. Each color should be on a different layer. Make sure there is a base layer so that it is still a wall!

Resource Packs

Minecraft has its own texture, but it not always the greatest texture for your build. Plenty of people have worked hard to make endless amounts of Resource packs. Each one is different from the last and help to change our minecraft building experience! They can make builds look realistic, cartoony, modern, and many other things. I have listed some Resource packs below that go with common build styles. Hopeful you see one you like.

If you want to be a Victorian/ mid-evil  Then I suggest John smith legacy. It has a very rustic feel to it, perfect for your mid-evil villages and Victorian home.

Not all of us are victorian or mid-evil builders, so we need something else.
My personal favorite and I think it goes well with any build is Soartex Fanver, I use this one all the time. Its best with mythical/fantasy builds I think but it can be used for mid-evil or even modern builds. it gives every thing a smooth look and it is very pleasing to eye.

We still have a lot of people who like to build modern, and they need a texture pack as well. I think pamplemousse is a great Resource pack for modern builders, It gives everything a smoother feel, and some great glass for the typical modern house.

there are plenty of other Resource packs for you to use I just pointed out a few to get you started.
go ahead and look for a Resource pack you want to use! One that fits your build style.

Circles In minecraft

Circles are very common in extravagant and beautiful builds, but are not an easy thing to make in a square game. I have made many circles in my builds and I used circle charts to start. Circle charts show you how to make a circle in minecraft. It gives you a number, that number is how many blocks it takes to get from one side to another. it is very easy to copy the pattern of the circle but in time you will be creating you own, no longer needing to use a guide.
I have a few charts posted at the end of this post for you to use, if you want to look for more type "Minecraft circle chart" in your google search bar and there are many for you to chose from. If you want a size you do not see, ask me, I will be happy to make one for you.

The first chart is even numbers the center of them will be 2x2 I do not like 2x2 centers so I tend to stay away from them The middle one is a large circle, it has plenty of room to build in, but personally its to big for me. The last chart is the one I use the most often. Odd numbers give you one block as the center and I like that.
